Because of her experience in broadcast, Kathy knows, first-hand, the types of stories reporters are looking for. This knowledge translates to her highly specialized approach to public relations. Kathy pitches specific stories to specific reporters, therefore creating greater opportunities for exposure and an advantage for her clients. Moreover, her relationships with these reporters ensure their trust in the story; their esteem in the story guarantees that it will receive great media coverage. Before joining Geile/Leon, Kathy served in senior public relations roles for The Standing Partnership, St. Louis and St. Louis’s Mayor’s Office and Lambert International Airport. While with the Mayor’s Office, Kathy was able to re-establish than mayor Freeman Bosley Jr.’s relationship with the local media, beginning with desk-side briefings with local reporters and continuing with ongoing accessibility. At Lambert, Kathy created the public relations department and served as its director for six years. Kathy earned a B.A. in communications and political science from Lindenwood College. |
